Install version 1.1.0
The current release installs as an unpacked Chrome extension. Extract the ZIP, open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, click Load unpacked, and select the extension folder. It is not yet listed in the Chrome Web Store.
Start recording
Click Record, choose Chrome Tab and enable Share tab audio. Play your audio from the beginning. Return to the recorder, click Stop, preview and save.
Requirements and limitations
A desktop Chrome browser with tab-audio sharing support is required. This version has been user-tested on Windows; other environments need further testing. Keep the recorder open while capturing. Automatic stop occurs at 30 minutes. Recovery applies only to completed takes and can be lost if browser storage is cleared.
WAV is converted from the WebM recording; direct PCM capture and MP3 export are not included. Capture can be restricted by the source or browser. Use with audio you have permission to record.
