• Ad and tracker blocking: Blocks requests to a starter list of 24 common advertising and tracking domains.
• Website switch: Allow individual websites or turn blocking back on.

• Allowed-sites dashboard: Manage your website exceptions.

Settings stay on your device

DVEX Shield stores protection settings and website exceptions locally. It does not upload browsing history, retain request URLs, or require an account.

Install in Chrome

1. Download the ZIP above and extract all files to a permanent folder.
2. Open Chrome and enter chrome://extensions in the address bar.
3. Turn on Developer mode, then click Load unpacked.
4. Select the extracted folder containing manifest.json.
5. Open the extension from Chrome’s puzzle-piece menu and check that it shows V1.0.1.

Keep the extracted folder on your computer. To update an existing manual installation, replace its files in the same folder, click Reload on the extension, and refresh affected website tabs. Downloading this ZIP does not install it automatically.

This release is distributed directly by DVEX. Chrome Web Store installation is not required. See the DVEX Shield privacy policy for local data handling and permissions.

Blocking coverage is still growing. Some ads—including YouTube video ads—may appear. Cookie-banner hiding and element blocking are not included in this version.

Less noise. More browsing.
